This can be attributed to the fact that a better salary permits payment of bills as is required, on time. While this is not perfect science, it does make sense of being a good possibility.

So no matter what you are earning, make a conscious effort to pay off the bills within the deadline, always keep the balances low, and avoid applying a lot for new credit and then mix this all up to have a good credit report!
